Delivery in 2-3 Weeks
Specialty requires 7-10 working days in our laboratory for fabrication of Clear Image Aligners. When calculating appointment dates, please factor in 2-4 additional days for shipping service each way.
Date Needed
The date needed on the Rx should be the day you require the case in your office to ensure it is on site for the delivery appointment. Note if your office is closed on certain days or for an extended period of time and your patient's appointment is on the day you re-open, your Date Needed should be the last business day the office will be open and accepting shipments before the patient's appointment. For patients requiring a special "Rush" please call our customer service team at 1-800-522-4636 to coordinate the timely return of your case.
Preparing to send your case to Specialty Appliances
Once the accuracy of the models or impressions has been verified, they need to be properly identified as well as wrapped and packaged to avoid being broken during shipment to the lab. Broken teeth or models will most likely require new models be submitted before fabrication of aligners. We recommend using our plastic "bubble wrap" material. When sending models wrap the upper and lower models separately taking extra precaution to cover the anterior teeth with a double thickness of wrapping material. Do not send models wrapped in occlusion as they are easily damaged. Impressions need to be identified with a tag or placed in baggies imprinted with the doctor's name and patient's name.
Shipping your case to Specialty Appliances
For your convenience we supply postage-paid U.S. First Class Mail labels for sending cases to Specialty Appliances. With these labels your case should arrive within 2-3 business days. Specialty underwrites a portion of the total shipping and handling costs for our customers. We charge for receipt and delivery of each case received. Reduced charges are applicable when more than one case is shipped in a box. Please keep in mind that the costs associated with shipping cases to and from Specialty are directly affected by the number of cases in each box.

Specialty offsets a portion of the shipping and handling cost for each case. We supply postage paid U.S. Postal Service first class mailing labels for our customer's convenience. Please be careful to affix the label securely to the box so it does not come loose in transit.
