For Clear Image Aligners, we require high quality stone models or PVS type impressions. Due to the precision fit of these appliances in relation to the entire arch, any discrepancies in the accuracy of the models will result in a compromised clinical fit. If alginate impressions are poured in your office, they must be closely inspected before sending to Specialty for fabrication.
A recommended option is to send PVS type impressions such as Kromopan® or 100 hour Algimax to Specialty and we will pour the working models. There is a small fee for pouring models in stone.
We recommend always sending upper and lower models or impressions even if movement is requested on one arch only, as we can check for anterior interferences as the teeth are repositioned.
