You and your patient have worked hard to produce a beautiful smile. Specialty Appliances offers several retention options to avoid relapse.

Clear Retainers
Specialty can also fabricate a final retainer type appliance from either .035 or .040mm material. For retention we typically use .040 ACE material from Raintree Essix.

Fixed Lingual Retainers (FLR)
While many clinicians use traditional removable clear retainers, we have seen a significant increase in the use of fixed retention. The main factor behind this trend is the issue of patient cooperation. The FLR uses a wire contoured to the lingual of the anterior teeth secured by a composite pad bonded to the teeth. FLR's can be made for either arch. Addtional information can be found at our main site www.specialtyappliances.com/fixed_retainers.
